Our culture comes down to a few things we take seriously: leading-edge work for clients, room for the next generation of consultants to grow, and partnerships and friendships that outlast the engagement itself.
These aren't values on a poster — they're the specific things we try to get right, every day, for clients and for each other.
Everything starts with the quality of the work itself. A meaningful amount of what we do is leading-edge in B2B customer insights research and competitive intelligence — from advanced quantitative methodologies like MaxDiff and conjoint analysis, to investigative competitive intelligence that goes well beyond a features-and-pricing comparison chart. We hold our own work to the same standard we'd expect if we were the client.
Scott (CEO) and Greg (SVP, Customer Insights Research) have had great careers that have crossed paths several times, at the same consulting firms, long before Miller Advisors existed. They share a similar view on work ethic and what it means to build a career worth being proud of — and that shared philosophy shapes how the rest of the team approaches the work, too.
We hire from strong university and college programs, and look for students who show real initiative — including members of the Graduate Management Consultant Association. We make sure our newest consultants get real opportunities for career and learning advancement, and we actively encourage our team to join and participate in professional associations.
We look for ways to support innovation close to home. Miller Advisors was a recent sponsor of the University of Toronto Formula Racing Team, as well as Toronto's ProductCon conference as part of Toronto Tech Week.
Our private equity, association, advisory, and vendor partners indirectly build an even more capable team. The ability to learn from and support each other — not just work alongside each other — leads to even more impactful outcomes for our clients.
We're all working toward success in our day-to-day efforts. But we take real enjoyment in building career friendships that outlast the engagement — the kind that follow people into retirement, or into whatever comes next.
We look for opportunities to share what we know beyond paid engagements — partnering with industry associations and speaking at their events to help advance the pricing profession. We're proud partners of the Professional Pricing Society (PPS), and Scott is a former board advisor with the International Software Product Management Association (ISPMA).
